The Occasions Mini is available and the Sneak Peaks are a Reality for everyone! Yay! My card today uses Baby Blossoms stamp set and Springtime Vintage designer paper - both found in the Occasions Mini.
To get started, I used the sketch #184 from Stamping 411 found by clicking HERE. And... I have a few things to explain such as the vanilla polka dots and the oval "frame".
I wanted to continue the dot theme found in the designer paper and the oval frame so I stamped the Very Vanilla polka dot background on Crumb Cake cardstock with Very Vanilla craft ink and the small background stamp called Dot, Dot, Dot.
Then I got the idea to give the oval frame some depth by stamping an additional frame and punching out the blank center with a Wide Oval Punch. I added dimensionals to raise it up just enough to make it look like an old fashioned frame!
To make the roses have a little more definition, I stamped on Rose Red Cardstock with Rose Red ink. Then I stamped the flower's detail with Very Vanilla Craft ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. The Rose Red ink picked up the embossing powder too for some reason so the entire flower was embossed which was fine with me.
Another close up of flowers and frame.
The only other thing that may cause confusion is the ever so small Vanilla border above the designer paper "Eyelet Lace". It is just a Very Vanilla cardstock also punched with the Eyelet Border Punch and then layered slightly above the designer paper. It helped the border to stand out a little more.
Oh, Oh.... and one more thing. The little "love" punched tag looks like the vase for the flowers on the designer paper doesn't it? Purely coincidental but I love how it looks like that, especially with the little bow!
