I haven't really played much with the new Petal Cone die. Other than the base for my Easter Egg Tree (found Here), I haven't touched it. I have no excuses.
I have seen a few projects using the Petal Cone die to make a heart and heart pouches. I decided to take it a step further and make a Valentine box. You know how I love the Box #2 Bigz die? Well I incorporated it into my Valentine project to make this.
To make this project I cut 4 "hearts" with the Petal Cone die: 2 hearts from Love Letters dsp, and 2 hearts from Riding Hood Red cardstock and one Box #2.
The scalloped circle, handle and banner across the front are all pieces from the Petal Cone die. I don't like to waste cardstock so I incorporated them into the project.
A little bit of stamping with the Valentine Defined stamp set, and some embellishments including some Red Glimmer Paper hearts, finished off the box. Inside the box is a place to hold some special holiday treats for that special Valentine in your life.
Stamps: Valentine Defined (Occasions Mini)
Paper: Love Letters dsp, Riding Hood Red and Vanilla cardstock, Red Glimmer Paper (Occasions Mini)
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Large and Small Heart punches, Basic Rhinestones, Modern Label Punch, Vanilla Satin Ribbon, 2 1/2" circle punch, Rhinestone Brad, Big Shot, Box #2 Bigz die, Petal Cone die (Occasions Mini)
If you are in, or near, the snow/ice storms across the country today - stay safe.
